The RNZAF operates an Historic  Flight based at RNZAF Ohakea. This consists of two airworthy aircraft and a number of static airframes in storage. The airworthy aircraft (currently under maintenance and to return to  airworthy in 2017) are a North American AT6 Harvard (NZ1015) and a De Havilland Tiger Moth (NZ662). Static airframes in storage include Harvards, Devons and Sioux helicopters. Historic Flight aircraft are generally flown by staff from the Central Flying School at Ohakea.

Harvard NZ1015 suffered damage in a forced landing in August 2018 and both aircraft are currently not operational.
