NOTE: There are temporary changes to road layout outside RNZAF Ohakea with a diversion of the road and a temporary roundabout north of the usual entrance to Ohakea. Travelers from the north will enter the roundabout prior to the usual turn off and travelers from the south will enter the roundabout after the usual turn off to Ohakea. These temporary changes have signposts for Ohakea access.
The Biggin Hill Historic Aircraft Centre is located inside RNZAF Base Ohakea which is just off State Highway 1 between Sanson and Bulls. Coming from the north, the turn off to Ohakea is about 2kms south of Bulls and coming from the south, about 2kms north of Sanson. It is clearly signposted from both directions. Access to RNZAF Ohakea is by prior arrangement only.
Important: After passing through the Duty Centre barriers, you must take the first turn left and follow the Base road until you see the cream walled/blue roof Biggin Hill Hangar. Take the gated entrance on the left a few metres past the hangar building which is the tow way leading up to our apron and the hangar. Park anywhere on the apron unless otherwise directed by orange cones or other markings.
