The
Air Ministry Form 78 for Spitfire PV270 which tracks some of its history.
After being built and test flown at the Castle Bromwich Spitfire factory
near Birmingham, the aircraft was then flown to a Maintenance Unit at the
end of September 1944 to prepare it for shipping to Casablanca from
Liverpool. The final entry shows the transfer of the aircraft to the
Italian Air Force (RAF Museum)
