The RNZAF operates an Historic Flight based at RNZAF Ohakea. This consists of two airworthy aircraft and a number of static airframes in storage. The airworthy aircraft (currently under maintenance and to return to airworthy in 2017) are a North American AT6 Harvard (NZ1015) and a De Havilland Tiger Moth (NZ662). Static airframes in storage include Harvards, Devons and Sioux helicopters. Historic Flight aircraft are generally flown by staff from the Central Flying School at Ohakea.
Note: Harvard NZ1015 suffered damage in a forced landing in August 2018 and both aircraft are currently not operational. The Historic Flight aircraft are not located at our facility are not seen as part of a visit to the Biggin Hill hangars
